Teal Crumbs are Quilted

I just pulled Sydney's Teal Crumbs off the quilting frame.  If I hustle I can get the edges trimmed up before the pizza shows up.  Sunday is pizza night in our house.  It has been for as long as I can remember.  I think it started in college when the cafeteria didn't serve dinner on Sunday.  So now I'd better get busy on the binding.  This one is going to have zebra stripes and Smith Mountain is just plain blue.  If I get them machine sewn today I'll have evenings to do the handwork this week.  I would have gotten more done today, but the girls wanted to go see a movie while the boys were off doing Dungeons and Dragons.  I didn't bring home any school work this weekend, but if I focus this week I think I can get most of it in during the school day.  I think I can......

Best wishes with organising yourself to have a no-schoolwork weekend. Number One Son's not there yet; in his second week he spent 100 hours on schoolwork!

Oooh - I bet Sydney's getting excited that her quilt is nearly done. It sounds like it is going to have a fun binding!

My goodness but you accomplished a LOT this weekend. Love all the finishes and almost finish with this one. Smart planning to have binding for the evenings. Looks like brown for October. Guess I have to start on the brown/blue quilt that needs to be done before Christmas =). Must finish up the halloween quilt first.

That's such a happy crumb quilt!!! Isn't it a rewarding feeling to put together something so gorgeous out of little more than small pieces of fabric that most others just throw away? And I really love the black block backing!

I just love this teal color. It really pops. I've got good yardage of some teal in my stash I'm going to pull out and make a crumb quilt top too! Thanks for the idea!

Many girls still learn this hobby in order to impress their grooms and have respect in their new family. But you will have to work very hard to find such. I can say that Latinos often raise their daughters in this style. I recommend looking at these profiles on citasconlatinas. A friend of mine found his wife this way last year.
